Fire Marshal Plan Review & Final Inspection: Nashville restaurant guide

Nashville Fire Marshal's Office

What it is

The Fire Marshal reviews every commercial plan and U&O for fire and life safety (exits, occupant load, alarms, suppression) and inspects before occupancy.

When a restaurant needs it

All commercial transitions, new construction, renovations and U&O permits. A beer permit also requires written Fire Marshal verification.

How to apply

Fire review is triggered by your Codes application: plans go through ePlans, and inspections are requested with the Fire Marshal's online inspection request form using your permit number.
