Alcohol Sales Program (Downtown LA): Los Angeles restaurant guide

What it is

Since January 27, 2025, the Alcohol Sales Program replaces the citywide RBP in parts of Downtown, using Alcohol Permission Areas (Restaurant Beverage Area and Restaurant & Bar Nightlife Area).

When a restaurant needs it

Only for alcohol service at a site inside a Downtown Community Plan Alcohol Permission Area.

How to apply

File in City Planning's Online Application System under Alcohol and Entertainment > Alcohol Sales Program.
