AB&T Temporary Alcoholic Beverage License (pour while your application is reviewed): Miami restaurant guide

Florida DBPR — Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco

What it is

Once AB&T accepts a complete new-license application with no apparent disqualification, you can buy a temporary license and start serving immediately while the up-to-90-day review runs.

When a restaurant needs it

Any new 2COP, SRX/4COP-SFS or quota-transfer application where you want to serve before final approval.

How to apply

Request the temporary license when you submit the completed application in DBPR Online Services and pay the temporary fee.

Documents you’ll need

Fee
$100 or 1/4 of the annual license fee, whichever is greater (so $100 for a 2COP, $455 for a 4COP-series license).
Processing time
Issued on acceptance of the complete application.
Renewal
Expires when the permanent license issues or the application is denied.
Who files
The applicant entity requests it with the main application.

Good to know

A temporary license does not shortcut City zoning sign-off; the application is not 'complete' without it.
