ABCC §12C Caterer's License (alcohol at off-site private events): Boston restaurant guide
Massachusetts ABCC
What it is
A state-issued on-premises license that lets a caterer sell and serve alcohol at private, invitation-only events away from its own premises, for up to 5 hours per event. Public events need a §14 one-day license from the Licensing Board instead.
When a restaurant needs it
Catering alcohol off-site. Your restaurant's §12 license doesn't travel.
